Product Notes:
Made from 100 % Pinot Grigio from the Lower part of Alto Adige. The grapes are lightly pressed, then the must is clarified by natural sedimentation and fermented. It spends 5 months in stainless steel tanks. This is a very typical Italian style Pinot Grigio. Bright yellow in color with coppery reflections and with clear fruit aromas of pear and light spices. Firm on the palate, velvety and full-flavored with well integrated acidity. A very round and satisfying wine.
The goal of Cantina Tramin is to produce wines equal to the world's greatest; wines with characteristics betraying the special composition of the soils, climatic conditions, and altitudes of 500 to 2,300 feet. Cantina Tramin has been recognized for excellence by Gambero Rosso: winemaker Willy Sturz was named “Winemaker of the Year” in 2004 and the wines have received 12 “Tre Bicchieri” awards.
