Each year Jason & Mark head up to Napa for the Annual Mid-Winter Barrel Auction in Napa Valley. During the auction trade members bid on 5, 10 or 20 case lots of “One-of-a-Kind” unique wines made by some of the top vintners in Napa Valley. Take a look and buy them while you can!!!
2004 was one 3 day heat-spell away from what many vintners in Napa Valley call the Holy Grail of vintages. Expected to challenge 1997 as one of the best vintages ever in Napa Valley; this wine is truly a rare treat. Duane and Susan Hoff were two of the founding members of Best Buy out of Minnesota and have taken the same passion they had for electronics and are applying it to a small 9 acre parcel halfway up Spring Mountain. Hand picked with rigorous work at a sorting table before crushing, this wine was the top barrel selected by winemaker Kirk Venge and his father Nils Venge. Ripe, luscious & juicy; it is comprised primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon with just a touch of Petit Verdot. This is one of those new wineries to watch, they’ll be bounding from the hills of Spring Mountain to the top of the heap in no time flat!!!
